Shade Models
New work by Patrick DeGuira.
Opening reception with the artist: November 2 5:30-9:00.
Shade Models is a body of work that investigates the concepts of memory, time, and language, through free psychodynamic associations.
The works in this exhibition, which include; paintings, collage, and sculpture, expand on the artist's interest in curating by exploring a narrative found between disparate modes of image and technique. From geological photographs of Pyrite and volcanic matter, the artist's writings, depictions of unknown individuals, to utilitarian object making, Shade Models dialogues on the creation of impermanence found in ones historical makeup.
