Rooted Chronicles emerged from a vision for the future of artistic growth in Nashville. As our creative community evolves, a diverse array of artists is stepping forward to share their unique perspectives. This exhibition promises to offer something meaningful for everyone who enters Zeitgeist. While the featured artists may come from marginalized backgrounds, the aim is to celebrate the humanity in every story and artwork, transcending labels in a society that often emphasizes them. The selected works for this show encompass all artistic journeys through expression and connection. Artists are powerful storytellers, and each creator featured in this exhibition brings a unique narrative and profound insight into the human experience. By including surrealism, abstract art, mixed media, and sculpture, we celebrate the vibrant diversity of talent in Nashville. Highlighting these remarkable artists during Black History Month not only honors their contributions but also creates a vital space for voices that should be recognized and appreciated. Rooted Chronicles is a celebration of the arts and a way to elevate black stories by embracing the richness of the arts that exist in our community.
