Analog-Digital
Zeitgeist is pleased to present Analog-Digital, works on paper by Lars Strandh.
Lars Strandh was born in 1961 in Gothenburg, Sweden. He graduated from The Academy of Fine Art in Oslo, Norway, where he now lives and works. Strandh has showed widely throughout Europe and the United States. Strandh has become known for his atmospheric multi-layered color paintings “developed” out of thousands of horizontal thin brush strokes. He has continued to expand the color palette of his paintings, which at first glance can appear to be, but not are, monochrome. His work emanates a stillness that invites contemplation but also reflection in a perceptual and/or metaphysical way.
The works in this show are digital prints, and the artist’s finger has become the brush, combining analog and digital techniques to create original works in his painterly style. Each piece in this series is limited to an edition of 12, and are signed by the artist.
