Richard Feaster | Todd McDaniel | Alex Blau
Richard Feaster: noise induced transitions
Longtime Nashville fave, Richard Feaster, shows new work featuring dried pigment and reflective surfaces. His work traditionally focusses on the play of light across the surfaces and the new work offers new twists of color, texture, and psychedelia.
Todd McDaniel: ramble, repeat
Todd McDaniel is based in NYC but maintains a studio in Nashville. This time round, he offers up new images of squeegeed color that might be a bit more free-wheeling than what many followers are used to seeing from him. Look for passages reaching back to modernist masters such as Matisse, Motherwell, and Gottlieb.
Alex Blau: solar impulse
Many will recall Alex Blau’s work in the Mark Scala curated Frist Center outing, Abstractometry. The show focused on the wealth of new talent in the Nashville studio scene. Alex serves up her latest influences by candycoated, colorburst design.
Zeitgeist will close for the holiday on December 21 and will reopen January 3rd.
