Zeitgeist presents Eponymous, an exhibit of 10 artists who are currently living and working in or have ties to the south.
Eponymous will be featuring sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, video, and mixed media installation. Some of the featured ten artists are names that may be familiar and many are new to the Nashville area. Though a number of the participating artists are currently living and working in Nashville some come to us from North Carolina, Los Angeles, Britain, and Canada. These 10 artists were selected because their work demonstrates current contemporary trends in their respective media.
This is an invitational group show that highlights art and artists not regularly showing in commercial spaces. The work, which in some cases is more conceptual in nature, is more indicative of art shown in artist run alternative spaces and in the academic environments. Participating artists in Eponymous are:
