| En Route |
Zeitgeist is pleased to present "En Route", an exhibition of new canvases and works on paper by internationally exhibited Nashville-based painter Paul Harmon. This new work provides a window on the artist’s years of travel and his explorations of a variety of themes including literature and art history. "En Route" continues Harmon’s exploration of the walking figure with images of male and female figures traversing city streets, beaches, and stairways. The paintings offer a moment of reflection in respect to the transitory nature of daily life.
Paul Harmon is a Nashville treasure whose work is known not only to those in the Nashville area but to patrons worldwide. He shows extensively and has maintained studios in Paris, France as well as Brentwood, Tennessee. This exhibitions marks the second solo Zeitgeist show for the artist whose work is known to collectors throughout the world for his bold stencil-lined images.
The recipient of many major international painting awards such as the XXIV Prix International d’Art Contemporain de Monte Carlo, Harmon has work is in numerous collections including the Municipality of Monaco, Georgetown University Library, the Tampa Museum of Art , The Tennessee State Museum, Hospital Corporation of America, Chicago Northwest Community Hospital, Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts. |
