| Replacement Landscapes |
Zeitgeist is pleased to present three artists whose share very similar ideas about human beings and their relationship to landscape and architecture.
Armin Mühsam is a painter currently living and working in Maryville, Missouri. His landscape painting depicts humankind’s effort to reshape our environment and remake it to suit our needs. Architecture, the outward manifestation of this activity, is rendered in very clean and precise terms, but integral elements are missing, namely a human presence. This body of work could be seen as a record of the impermanence of this activity.
Armin has had recent exhibitions in Germany, Hungary, and across the U.S.. His work was also featured in the 2002 installment of Zeitgeist’s Switchyard summer introduction series. |
